Hey all. I've been reworking my portfolio recently and would love some more eyes on it. I'm still juggling content around so any advice/crits on things to add/drop or design/layout whatever would be appreciated. Thanks. www.dan-art.com
Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on some dock segments. I'm aiming for a pack of assets where I can easily construct different dock layouts. I would really love some feedback on my progress so far.
Hiya, I've just been thinking of how I can create a minimalist but not plain presentation background for my 3D models. I'll be creating a portfolio site and I was just wondering if anyone had tips on creating a clean, professional looking layout. Cheers for the help!
In Modo there is a menu in the Layout tab that shows preview thumbnails of different meshs you've saved out which can be drag-dropped right into the scene or onto a surface. Is there any script/plugin for max that lets you preview and drag/drop meshes like that?
The source code to mine is posted up here somewhere. Unlike most others it won't break your layout if you change density so might be a nice alternative - even if it the UI is crap
90% of bake issues are UV or soft/hard normal related. There's sticky threads in technical talk that explain how to deal with most situations. If it's not answered in there post pictures of your uv layout
If possible, make an alternate UV map on such objects that matches the layout of the source object. Copy Skin Weights can use this to transfer instead of position in the world, but it's up to you if it's worth the time.
Giving that hard surface environment a shot this challenge. I have a rough greybox/lighting pass on UE4. I'm currently moving it to my 3d program and getting a better rough layout.
My reference This will be my final layout and just stick it til the end. Unless there are suggestions? :) I'm just gonna go ahead and start modeling the rest of the interior props for now -Julian
