The word "environment" is misspelled all over your front page, even in the graphics. You may also consider condensing the portfolio section a bit more. There is just so much there, and some are screen shots looking directly at a floor. Also, next gen environments and higher polygon scenes would be great for diversity. -

Is the Wii version the same as the next gen versions (story wise). This game has defiantly perked my interests, and I'm rooting for it to do well. I like the "episodic" feel in a full game package, really cool. I probably won't be buying this game, but I'll defiantly give it a rent sooner or later. -

To be fair, CGMA does offer beginner classes. They do seem to have solid logic behind their progression of courses starting with the ABCs of Maya up to full scale organic world building / next gen character creation. That still relies on an honest self critique of your personal skill level to make the best use of. -

See! The raising of these sorts of topics can have a positive effect! Great thread. Feel like I've learnt a lot and will now think more before I approach my next character. I'm a big fan of interesting, characterful characters and would like to see more in games. That's my next-gen hope! -

All of your stuff is way too clean. You need to add wear and tear to all of it. I would also convert it to PBR if you haven't done that since it's pretty much becoming industry standard, esp if ur going for a next gen prop artist spot like ur folio seems to be aimed at. -

Hm, I remember hearing claims that bones are actually less ressource draining than vertex animation (less animation data, one matrix transformation per bone rather than one linear interpolation per vertex) and consoles cannot handle vertex animation but I guess that was talking about current gen... -
