If you are not actively applying for jobs right now, it may be worthwhile to throw it on arstation just to see what kind of responses it gets. If you get low views on this piece, but get a lot more views on your next work a few months later, that's a sign you're improving. Or at least making something people want to click… -

hmm well i will atempt to be helpful while i can not make you a texture i can make some sugestions, you could maybe do some searvhes of nirvana posters and such and perhaps photosource a passable texture from them, also while the head looks rather kobanish from the front an 3/4 above view it falls apart in the other 2… -

i disagree with everybody ;) the contrast and bloom are right, ok, maybe a little to strong! The problem is, that just the midscale detail ist contrasty, the big scale detail has no brightness difference at all and therefore makes it nealy impossible to read the image. The focal point of the scene should be the temple… -

I like the idea for the detail (padding/crest thing) on his torso but I would make it a bit bulkier and sticking out more. Right now it's pretty flat on his body and then you might as well lose some polys and create that detail in the skin. From the angle view the profile of his head doesn't look right. Too flat and… -

I agree with ViPr, I don't miss 8 bit I miss the side scrollers. I been waiting to see a side scroller type game like Contra but in 3D. I mention Contra because you had several views, not just one view like most games these days. I don't miss the 3 life thing they had to make the game "hard" though. I'm not to crazy about… -

thats prety coool, nice detailing, right now im sorry i have to say this,it kills me, and maby its just the render, or the view point but the hull looks a little flat and out of shape, , i think it nedds to curb out from the sides a bit more.of cource it all depends on what this is for, if you show it to a boat man i think… -

Here are the grabs of the head: I think that looks very good from the side view (btw. as I look on the grabs I see I have to tweak the size of the ear again).
