Distance field shadows doesn't take skeletal mesh animation into account. It does take movement into account, but not deformation. Distance field shadows doesn't need to be baked though. -

It seems that the only type of account you can make is a free account. Works for me, but im guessing you only get x number of downloads per week or something. -

With GTA IV it was Steam + GFWL + Rockstar Games Social Club. Any extra layer of DRM or account logins after Steam is annoying, unless the game itself needs online accounts. -
