Looks great Andy, your style reminds that riotish and I'm sure it will be your fine advantage. I only would like to suggest to improve cloak's edges, it looks to thick and because of that it seems like made of plasticine.
There's quite a few, about 9, this entire thing was just a huge exercise for me to bury my head in zbrush for a few weeks and learn it (including the cloaked character in the middle), so everything was hand done - no real shortcuts there.
Flesh layers done on wraith, there are some tweaks I might make looking at this now, but the character will have a cloak on so most of this will be hidden. I'm just a sucker for the details. Did a quick test render and paintover
The main issue I'm seeing is that the folds and drapes all run horizontally, as if it were a bed sheet wrapped tightly around the character. Generally for a cloak the drapes run vertically, because the points of tension are mostly up on the head and shoulders.
The Stealth/Cloak Snipers are frustrating :( Aparently I ran out of bandages. I'm gonna have to read up all the purchase stuff as I'm not sure how it all works and I haven't even looked at the store yet.
Looks really tight and good. I think i'd look better if shoulder pads were brighter. Right now they kinda mix with a color of a cloak. Same with trousers. But that maybe only my cheap monitor thing.
I caught Temple of Doom again last night, been a long time, and chuckled when the good guy army came out at the end with Blue Turbans & capes to kill the red-cloaked wearing bad guys.
I use maya not max, so I don't know what the equivalent is, but you did remember to freeze the transformations and delete all object history right? Especially if the cloak on the right was duplicated from the one on the left.
I am kind of stuck with the cloak right now and I might need some help to model it with the base pose of my character. For now I have this blocking, but I am not sure if I am going in the right direction.
DAY 5 Changed the kneepads and armplates ( at least three times XD ). Added the hands and cloak. I'll try to finish the base tomorrow, then start the details, so if anyone has something to say about the shapes, please tell me ^^.
