I agree, great optimization! I would push the highlights on edges of the metal to make it pop abit more. Also I'd scale the mask on the Y-axis a tad; it should be wider than taller.
I didnt read this thread but his hooves seem more rounded in the figure and taller and yours seems a bit more pointy and lower to the ground, I could be wrong.
Okay so I played around with the proportions some more. The only thing is I didn't adjust with everything else is the statue. I know that should be a tad taller.
Ears are too small and too low, and the brow needs to be brought forward. The nose looks slightly too wide. The head may need to be a bit taller above the eyes.
The unfolding thrusters are in, i need to change the angle they sit at, maybe make the boosters a bit taller since they look a little flat. Shit i was meant to do the dammed back shoulder mount thing X___x"
I'd recommend changing the pennant to either a tapered design or a swallow-tail one. Also, the crow's nest should be lower, or the mast taller. This will also allow you to attach the pennant to the mast rather than the nest.
Shes looking really nice ! Was this your own concept character? and only thing i would maybe change is to make her abit taller, but thats just my preference.
Pft, that's normal. When i bend my legs for ballet my hips turn like this...! :) Sorry for spam i couldn't resist ! Good luck with solving your problem!
Doesn't count as mentioned before in this thread; Mario's design largely conforms to strict requirements of antiquated hardware. He's actually been growing taller and less ugly over time.
Jeebers! It would have looked better if they'd just made the canvas taller, selected the top quarter and stretch-tranformed it to fit. Obviously a cock up in the 'Information Adjustments' department.
