I got it to run on my hd4870, but very laggy, the only way i get to play it with no lags means that i have to deal with corrupt textures anywhere(Vending machine textures in npc faces for example)
Best theme ever, can't wait to get started! Does anyone know if the set has to be based on a playable race? I for example wanted to do high elf, but it doesn't appear to be one of the playable races.
Why would it? Select the planar set of faces (for example with By Angle active), CTRL+SHIFT+click the edge subobject icon to select all the edges shared by the faces except for borders, CTRL+Backspace remove them.
So, I'm curious but could this open the door for companies that he stopped production of their games counter sue him for costing them money/production time on this? Like the people that were making "Edge of Darkness" for example?
Part of it might just be good old nostalgia, but yeah it would be a challenge to remake a game but still keep the feel of the original. Excitebike for the N64 was a perfect example of how to do it right. I'll second Chrono Trigger...
Ninjas: You realize that you can just use a bunch of coins or something (round pieces of paper?) instead of official miniatures? Battletech, for example, comes with a few cardboard cutouts. Sure, it looks poor but it's cheap.
Having not updated my reel in over three years, I'm a little wary to post it but I feel it's still a fairly good example of a out-of-school reel. See it here: http://polycreator.com/files/demoreel.exe
Well depending on your system specs, 12m isnt really that big of a deal. Maybe in zbrush? I dont think you'de have too many problems rendering normals in XN for example with a 12m mesh.
That's incredibly ridiculous, and will never pass. It's just another example of a small minority of idiots with a big voice getting a lot of coverage. The majority of people would never agree to something like this. Or at least that's what I hope...
I really am going to revisit this, I just have to find an evening this week to devote to it. Thanks a ton Eric/whargoul/malcolm/pixelrambo. I'll be incorporating this new info and making a better example image.
