@Keg: The core goal of that book is you give you a firm knowledge of Windows programming in C++. So that you will know more than just creating a hello world screen in D3D when you start a game programming. I already use Express edition, but eventually I will have to start making the executable files and setup for the game…
Thanks Kanga, Lucy Lui was my point of reference :) Ok everything is baked, except for the scalp hair and the long locks of hair... That'll be fun to sort out... No actual texturing yet, just ao cavity and normals. Also need to set up some decals for all the branding and labels. Wires are also missing but they will be…
Yes, GDDR5 - but folks above are talking about DDR5, which doesn't exist. GDDR5 is probably fairly inexpensive. It's a similar model to the 360 in the last gen.
Cool stuff this week so far. Looking forward to the next few days. I'm about wrapped up on this week's piece. The whole thing is 3691 polys and using a 512 texture (though I could and should chop it to a 256 if/when I come back to this). Vertex lit inside of Maya. It's from the iOS game Hero Academy.
those are all sanwa parts in the box. I did lose one of my white sanwa buttons before i finished making the box so i had to replace it with a black happ button. So that's the 360 guide button now :P. I would totally do artwork on the box but i lake the tools to do so. I dont own any paint brushes or paint, or laquer. so…
I don't know about you guys but I didn't experience any loading delays when I played the demo on the PC. There were some slit delays on the 360 but nothing to complain about. IMO I glad that they're diverging from Baldur's Gate. I'd rather have DA O + 2 be good on it's own merits and not be compared to an old game that was…
after looking at images longer than last time, i've got something i wanted to mention :) 1) Guard outpost. Note: letters correspond to ones on the image attached. a - metal window frames are too thick. They are thicker than the wall which is wrong since window frames don't have same thickness as the wall, unless the wall…
needs more 360 no scopes and call of duty montages, also you need to seem a bit more energetic. Basically be what you would want to see on a commentary
It depends on how close its going to be to the camera, and if you have an iron sights/zoom in animation. For current gen (PC/PS4/XBONE) you will likely have very loose restrictions for a FPV asset, it wouldn't be nuts to use like 10k just on scope attachment if it was very complex and took up a lot of screen space. FPV…
