@Ravenslayer : Wow ! She looks beautiful. Great work here @Frogfish : Love to see different female body than the average idealized one ! You may want to pay attention to the shoulder blades, it seems its a little bit off Almost done with the sculpt of this frog ... rendered with ZBrush BPR :
Of course I don't mind you asking, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to disappoint you; the left is a render from Blender with the default material and only a point and hemi light. The right is a bit of an elaborate paintover consisting mostly of a colour ramp. I've never used ZBrush in my life :( .
From what I know, he exports his models from Zbrush and renders into Maya, using Maya Vector. But, he can offer better feedback than me ;) EDIT: Here an explanation he posted some time ago: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1593990&postcount=6133
I was experimenting with some lazy and not so workflows =) 1: Scanned leaf. Then inflated and added a bit of sculpting in zbrush. Baked ao + cavity + normals from sculpted geo. Blurred original photo and added ao with cavity on top. 2: Scanned leaf genrated normals from photo original photo used as diffuse
Been practicing material definition some more so I had a go at retoping and texturing this ZBrush sculpt I did as part of a character sculpting tutorial I was following. This is MEANT to be bronze, the dark band along the back of the mane is where it would be counter-sunk into a door. Maps are 512x512 - DIFF, SPEC and NRM.
Joshflighter Kot_Leopold Thanks a lot! :D LRoy, almost everything except body biggest armor plate ( actually i decided to retopology that because it is very planar but than I converted that to dynamesh and resculpted it.) also I modeled those hands chain system purely in 3ds max. the other parts were done inside Zbrush.
@ Denicon - i can recomment you this : lession 5, of digital tutors maybe its helps ;) But there tons of ways to do it, you can only sculp the bones and do the rest later in Maya/Max - import back to zbrush. You can also do the wings with zspheres or with the "copyobjektbrush" (dunno the exactly name).. Great work guys !
I'm still trying to learn Zbrush. I made this with Zspheres, painted, sculpted and UVmapped using UVmaster. I'm not happy with it but I ran out of time and can't find anyone off-net to help me so here are the results. I hope I never have to look at it ever again at this point. I did learn a lot doing it. I'm going to use…
Been continuing my research into artistic shaders (for my Masters Degree), this time attempting to recreate the style of the Fable 3 concept art; splotchy, sketchy, with mostly earthy colours. As i'm concentrating on shader development, I didn't want to spend too long building an appropriate mesh to apply it to. Instead, I…
Donavonyoung, that dude is epic! MisterNinjustu, thanks :) Thanks spiderDude, I had some other questions about how to get UVs on a decimated model, so I made a video tutorial. Hope it helps, let me know if you have any questions. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG7Lfg8mLB8"]ZBrush Plug-in Tutorial - YouTube[/ame]
