this was an advanced blockout from two weeks ago, i had to work on other projects but im back on this until the end. So far i have started the sculpture work on the pillars and i started building the main modular textures. should have much more to show at the end of the week.
thats looking cool. Maybe fire out a way to tighten up the normal map at the ends. Even older wood planks have pretty hard cuts at the ends where they are exposed: http://il7.picdn.net/shutterstock/videos/5084219/thumb/1.jpg Ref link Keep at it dude!
Work in progress from my current project. This may end up being my low-poly mesh, unless I end up retopologizing it again to fix some mistakes. Currently working on sculpting my high-poly. Edit: Forgot to upload the final renders from this project!
really nice:) Though I'd say that the model in the end (train turntable) doesn't belong in the demoreel... Keep it on your site somwhere if you want to display 3dmodelling-skills. Start and end the reel with best/nextbest animations (if you're looking for a job as animator) Just my two cents, /M
the funny thing is: All this effort we put into making sure all our colors are great end up being viewed on the lowest end lcd tv / monitor that most gamers can afford. Just going to Quakecon shows you how poor most of the hardware is that people use.
Main update is that I've found a method to use for the fur. Also some tweaks to the torso and designs. Still a lot of kinks to get out but I think I'll head in this direction with the tail. The goal is a high end low poly or low end high poly so strand rendering is not an option:
A bit late to the party, but... 1. Select the keys in the graph editor 2. In the graph editor, select Edit > Scale 3. In the scale key options window, choose method > Start / End, and enter your last frame for the start time, and your first frame for the end frame 4. Be happy.
I think you need to take a closer look at the shape of the head. The top of the head is really flat. Check out some pictures of human skulls and bald men - the top of the head is never flat like that. It almost looks like you ended the top of the end at the hairline in the reference picture.
Damn, you got money! In the end though, it seems that the higher end the ip the more restricted you are in guide lines because they have a successful product catering to consumers who expect same design aspects.. That is a lot of money, are you currently attending uni? and then moving to singapore to attend FZD?
Yeah the end of season two was shaping up real nice, especially with the addition of Nimoy. But season three kinda took the sting outta the story a bit I feel. I hate when they spend a whole season building a story then end it almost in a single episode. Will keep watching for now
