First and foremost congrats about the birth of your Son. secondly: D (Hair) because it does her Justice and I've thought about and compared her to the other charcters and it makes her fit in with them best. H (Healing gun) because it looks most fitting to the TF2 theme.
I've asked for books with Miyazaki works in it. Graphic novels, storyboards and movie art books. I'm with jzero on the socks. Need them badly and never get around to buying them. Got my son a big load of colored kids clay to get his little hands modelling.
I say goddamnnnnn son. Very nice work here. I agree with the comments about the general situation with the pants and straps. Also the hair being sliighttllyyyy flat. Looks great, but will look like her hair is glued down. Give it a little volume and ill go weeeeeee!
Great cartoon. I really like the character development and the fact that it isnt all fun and games. You really feel for the characters and the situation theyre in. I'm also big into Oban Star-Racers at the moment. I love the art style and the environments are amazing. http://www.obanstarracers.com - BoBo
I will chime in on the fan thing. Unless you have specific needs (does not fit your SSF case, going for near silent or running SLI *extra heat*), stock cooler is 100% fine. They have improved a lot and can take decent overclocks. Just keep it clean.
- "My son, a terrible darkness has returned to our world..." - Working on a new bust, this time Varian Wrynn from World of Warcraft. Concept: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lz1YJ (I'll surely model that Tyrande too. Soooo cool!) Here what I've got so far:
@BagelHero that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks :) I started playing with ddo. Great program, totally need to free a ton of space on my ssd. I kept running out of disk space and had to start over. Anyhow, here's some playing around. Took it into unity:
I like the new layout, it's very clean. I think the decorative font is a little too much still - have you thought about using a more traditional sans serif font like Twentieth Century: http://www.identifont.com/find?font=Twentieth+Century&q=Go
Based on what we did in Second Son I would guess that a large percentage of the vehicles in Last of Us were made from reusable textures so not baked down. That being said we had a few unique cars that were uniquely unwrapped high poly and then textured.
Hey thanks for the great comments guys. @Di$array sounds interesting! Yeah Im looking forward to the challenge, getting the feeling of the concept etc. Hopefully Ill have some model wip images by the weekend, 8 week old son's tend to slow down the pipeline a bit >.<
