On a related note i actually went to GDC recently and Valve was by far the most accommodating booth to their fans. Really down to earth people, if not a little jaded by the conference but that's understandable. They let pretty much everyone at the conference come to their company party and get absolutely shit faced on…
Haha, 10 years old. Always of interest tho. Lit keyboard and gamming mouse after all the Logitech madness, plus a very small Wacom Intuos Comic tablet. MM wheel is a super comfortable click and I get the impression the KB combo is built to withstand quite a bit of abuse. The little comic tablet is application sensitive and…
I dont know if it is a style choiche but it is a bit to dark and you cant see the details you made in this scene. If you weuld to compare the concept art to this scene you can clearly see every detail lit by light. I dont see that in your art work. My take you can eighter make it realistic or make it more artistic using…
I like the model and textures and I think it has potential, but like some of the others I feel your render and normal map is letting it down. Especially the lack of light/dark side. Why is he so lit under his arms fx? He simply feels too illuminated to me and fixing that would help alot. But again, great character imo.
I think it's a bit too dark overall. It just looks "poorly" lit if you see what I mean, the sides of the legs and arms just disappear into the dark void. Also the netting doesn't read too well even in the flat texture sheet. The face looks really good in the sheet but applied to the model it looks off. Especially the chin…
Nice. One little thing I'd do is add a tiny bit of randomness to the table setting. I feels it's a little too uniform for the moment, a little disorder in the setting should help add a little more life to the feeling. Also, while your lighting is working, I don't feel like it's coming from the windows, while the direction…
Yeah you dont need to remesh your zbrush highpoly for texture baking. You only do that if you need extra detail on the hipoly and cant get it at its highest subdivide in zbrush. If you want to bake details from the zB high poly onto a lowpoly version of your model you can do that in Maya bit that would mean opening the…
Ahh. A load of stuff happened, then my tablet crapped out and died, so I've only been able to get back at it recently. Since it's been a while and I hadn't made much progress, I decided to just restart, and try to focus more on the advice I'd received. In particular, focusing on blocking it out as low res as I can. I…
I think the ground texture is way better now :) The scale is a bit strange mainly because of the decorations on the side of the ground texture and the lights (candlestick thing) that are way to big. Let's say your guy is 2 meter tall then your hallway is about 20 meters tall, and candlestick would be about 6 meters. I'm…
Final Draft [Scroll Down for previous versions] “You know,” Desmond spat, “you’re about as smart as that pile of rocks there, boy.” He motioned downward from atop his mare to a conspicuous group of boulders lying just off the scrubby path. Little Robert stood just ahead of Desmond, blinking confusedly. He raised his eyes…
