i love the concept but i think u miss understood the sword design. i think it has a curve in the end which i think is good cause it gives the model a more dynamic feel. when you make the model, try to implant the curves and the "edgyness" because in the end it looks cool and fun.
... Hahaha, just got back from the midnight showing. The bulk of the movie was "alright" at best, but the ending... the ending was the worst fucking thing ever. Two words ruin anything else good about this movie... "Take mine" Man, whoever was writing that shit needs to have some common sense slapped into em.
Xeto the only thing I noticed is that some of your rollovers don't work. It's seems a bit inconsistent to have rollovers on your thumbnails and not on your Nav bar. Nice reel, you may want to show your concepts at the end of the reel or with the model next to it while it rotates at the end of the fly though. Alex
It's also a matter of people are still learning high end 3d. We've been doing low poly 3d for so long, that we're scrambling to learn high poly, before next-gen slams into our faces. Once we all learn the high end stuff, there will be more and more models available.
Next Modifier Previous Modifier Look for these in the hotkey list in Customize User Interface. I have Previous Modifier on A, Show End Result on S, and Next Modifier on D, means I can skip up and down the stack and show end result at any time without ever moving my mouse.
You'll want to investigate subsurface scattering for the tent material, then put a lightsource inside it. Might need to play with camera settings to replicate that photo as well. https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/RenderingAndGraphics/Materials/HowTo/Subsurface_Scattering/…
I did ultimately end up going with just one UV tile, since I was getting pretty much the same result either way. So maybe yeah, one 8k was fine for this? Still kinda surprised!
We've been hard at work finalising and wrapping up what we could for our final submission today - I'm happy to share the trailer we've produced for it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4vdyauwXpQ Although we ended up cutting a few corners on gameplay development to focus on refining the visuals for our cinematics and…
I was trying a different workflow, Base mesh to Mudbox to Max Ended up with a 396 tri Light Fixture. I was hoping to use it for my current scene, but ended up with something that doesn't quite work. Oh... I drew concept art for it... was hidious, but it worked, lol. Not going to show.
Still no start then.....wow. @autocon. yeah, I'd love to see and environment and character, but maybe also vehicles competition brief. Allow people to chose what to do and maybe at the end all the elements could be brought together if styles matched. I'd love to see something that could be collaborated at the end.
