You can bake textures from a high poly model to a lower one pretty easily. http://www.creativebloq.com/quickly-transfer-textures-new-uv-layout-maya-7134086
*Update!* I blocked out the scene in Unreal 4 with the basic stuff. Now that I have the scale and layout, I'll drop it into Maya and work out the details. More to come!
Aye, I'd agree with @Luxap take a look at your references and you'll see more variation in light source and lighting levels. Otherwise good job with the modelling, texturing, and layout!
why would i be joking? It takes about 15 seconds and gets your UV layout into a layer on your texture. Forgive me for not opening a vein into the goblet of 3D science
I changed teh uv layout so now the texture looks like this and here is a link to the SDK The .zip includes a .mb file and a .obj file, as well as .tga and .psd
Dragster racing. These things explode every second race. Formula 1 doesn't have as many crashes, probably because the track layout isn't so complicated. Oh, wait.
I've always liked the single page layouts myself, i think in that case tho, you need all of your images to each have the same width, or it looks funky.
Yah this looks dumb... cause a guy that transforms to a giant gun is much more realistic. Suck it up Nancy's. I think it looks great, considering it to be the Cybertronian layout of Megatron.
nice layout artem. Model as many cars as you like!! they look shweeet. but ya know you should do a tutorial or general runthrough of your workflow on making them!
