Check your Smoothing groups in 3dsmax. Select all faces, autosmooth in editpoly. Reexport. Check in marmoset

Found it. After u move the file, check the utilities panel in 3dsmax, click on more and look for scatter.

I have a similar problem. In 3DSMax/Toolbag the normals look fine but in 3DO the shading is completely off.
