http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9594 there're some conflicts between wacom pen and windows inking software, that aren't manually fixable in the current win8 build also wacom drivers aren't yet MS certified for windows 8?
You've never been given a straight answer because it really depends on what platform, engine, and game. Just by googling a little, I found this cgsociety thread: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=39&t=481174 I hope that helps a little.
Holy shit Obson... holy f-in shit :) You just gained like about 1 million awesome points! I haven't seen your work in awhile man, have I been blind, or have you been crazy busy?
Hi! I am trying to practice rigging in maya, and I need models to rig. You can send me your model and I will rig it, for free, its a practice to me. Then you can sell the rig on internet or whatever, I dont care. Probably I will use the rig to test technical animation, implementation to game engine and things like that
Texturing is so f*kin fun. Here is a question though, how much is too much? How do you guys usually decide when to stop? Some material separation still left but I got stuck on playing with wet mud.
Awesome work. What's interesting to me is that you've started to learn Substance Painter not so long ago, yet here you are harnessing it's capabilities to create breath taking 3D art. Where as, in my case, I'm confused as f*** in Substance Painter... :/
http://www.polycount.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=47&order=desc I guess environment vs character submissions ratio could speak for something. Just browse for a couple of pages. So I wouldn't be too worried, and yeah, okkun is on the money right there.
as for the VFX artist, I would assume the FX's would have to be in realtime (engine) See responses above. also you mentioned posting WIP's where is that done? The WIPs go here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=92 Very excited !!!!
Serp: here is a tutorial: A. select your highpoly element(s) B. key them at frame 0 C. key them at frame 10 D. move them at frame 10 E. Repeat for low F. Repeat for the rest of the elements. =D
MaterialS used are: standard gray AND bringzin AND mudcap. Not sure where you can find them. f you need them, I may upload them for you. I threw them together in Photoshop, so it is not just a one-click thing.
