I think it might be worth running a polygon relax feature in your respective 3D modelling program. Right now there are areas around the mouth/lips and under the nose where the polygons are too rectangular. Luulin: Yes, body fat is considerate and I actually went in and added some of it already. Thought you were right. It would make the sculpt more realistic and would look more like the guy from the reference image.! Ahh good stuff, you're making good progress. In unwrap you don't "cut" you break edges. I think the shortcut is B, but maybe that is just what I set it to... You can also get to it from the Tools Drop Down menu. The whole point of unwrapping it at the box stage is so you don't have to hassle with uv's at this stage, now… -

My thoughs: if you create a UV map AFTER adding in supporting edges, than that will negatively affect opperations like relax. and consequently when you remove the edges, you'll be left with a sub-par UV map that will be stretched. if you add in the supporting edges AFTER UV mapping than you would have to use ring connect…
