I'm kind of struggling with the shot. I want it to be this superbright cathedralesque feel... This is my first attempt, but it's definately not done... I need to fix the background image.
No they aren't.Procedural Maps can be dependent on the transformations, depending on the settings, but UVs are dependent on the topology only. You are most definately unwrapping the wrong Channel, as renderhjs said.
In all seriousness they're nice simple props with no wasted geometry. Every tri is helping to define the shape and the smoothing looks great on them. Great props. :)
