Some other test with the composition, I switched to 50mm lens. I like to work with lense from 50 to 85 because you're more in your subject and I feel that here, it's working well, we are more "in" the forest among thoses big trees. Now I have to play with medium scale elements...
Hey hey! Just made a bit of progress in the blockout of the scene. Squeezed in more props and lowered the fov of the camera to have a bit more elements in the scene.

Yeah, adjusting the lowpoly so it matches the highpoly better is probably a good approach. If possible, you can separate the different elements into bake groups, this will allow you to use different offsets for the different areas. Of course, painting with the offset tools may work too.
Fantastic, only weird element is the Cleaver. The cleaver is to big and for is current size to thick so the weapon looks misplaced for such a high quality model.
