wow theres been a marked improvement since ur first attempts keep it up. only crits i can come with for now is the chin area. The chin itself seems to be sunken in and the w crease under the lip comes to sharp in the middle. Also at the side of the eyes it could use a little volume try extending the brow into that area.

Even after multiple reinstall attempts, it still get a black screen whenever I boot it, and as a side note, there was no option for Windows build support when I was selecting modules (or w/e) when I installed it. Can't get Dynamask editor to show the mask in normal resolution! As you can see it is downscaled for no reason.. When I turn Quick Preview on - everything is fine and hires, but when its in B/W mask only mode - looks terrible and awfully lowres.. Please help! P.S. Hi, super newcomer to the polycount forums but probably my 3rd or 4th Riot art contest attempt. I'm throwing my hat into this mix, trying to make a custom skin for Orianna Starting w/ a few preliminary sketches to get a decent pose for Orianna. I do have a costume in mind though so yeah.
a couple of questions.... whats your reference like? or did you sculpt this w/o ref? whats her age? to me it feels like you really need to gather a lot of anatomical ref so you have something to compare to. Don trip tho... we all start somewhere
Regarding your question- the answer is both. If you jump into Zbrush w/o having an understanding of the do`s and don'ts basic 3d, you`ll find your self struggling quite a bit. conversely- if you want to compete in the character market, you`ll need to know a sculpting package.
