I think that's a positive improvement. I don't know about desaturating the rock, it seems fine. Same goes for the creature. My remaining critique of this thing is that the rocks and dirt (even the plant to some extent) seem to be too glossy, giving them a plastic/rubber aesthetic. The creature could use some tweaking in…
well that picture isnt exactly accurate, those space marines in the background arent supposed to be there , in actuality based off the story, this is horus's ship when he was running away from the emperors home planet in actuality in horus's throne room. In horsus throne room there was only horus, the emperor had…
Hey man, In both cases your foreshortening is really off and that its really destroying the feeling of space and the values are muddy making everything feel wobbly. If you pick 1 or 2 pieces I can draw into them in the coming weeks. As far as subject matter I'll only go over the 2 you directly posted. The first one is…
Thanks for the responses. Cryrid: I don't think I'm understanding what you mean. If you check the pic attached it shows how I would like to offset the merged roots subtool on my zbrush canvas. The Red square is the plane 3d subtool in the document in zbrush that will be framed up when I'm creating all my maps in zbrush,…
Well, here's the thing. I would like to believe there are aliens. But I'm the type that doesn't believe anything. So, being scientific about it, I have to assume there aren't any because there isn't any evidence. The X-Files doesn't count. Not only that, but every year that goes by where people are looking into space and…
Already looking better. I started on my door but I have to go watch a few tutorials on UE4 lighting >< These are separate meshes however and I'm happy with the way the AO is calculated (minus the roof)
Thanks for the replies so far. Here is my latest roof texture I made. Please let me know if you see anything I can do to improve it. Here is a shot of it tiling
Personally I'd make an atlas for building details, such as windows, doors and whatnot, and use tiling textures for the roof and walls. I'd cut the windows and doors into the geometry itself and assign the atlas material on them. Is that feasible?
I don't know on what style your planing to texture it but if it's handpaint, tillable for the roof, the white concrete wall and the wood. Modular for the beam ( you turn them around to show different side of the beam.
I see all of these posts about UE4, is it available for non-comercial use somewhere?? Seems to be that everyone but me has their hands on it! Also, love that shot, the metal roofing rafters really sell the scene.
