How I did it, 1. Apply a cylinder unwrap 2. Planar map both the top and the bottom 3. delete all but 1 inset, uv mapped that by itself (the top right piece on my UV) 4. duplicate the piece around the mesh. 5. merge and done
Going to merge this with my ~1000 image dropbox folder. Most will probably be dupes and it might take a week to upload but hey, might as well use the cloud considering i have 25GB free :D Not as many as i expected were dupes, almost 8k files now!
Heheh - yeah I saw this and I saw that Mere Mortals were involved in the credits at the end - good stuff! I was just about to come on here and ask if you had anything to do with it Rooster :) Am I right in thinking that this was just a one off and not a full series?
'double half bake' is a silly way of saying dont just bake with half the geometry. mirror your half and merge the verts along the seam before you bake instead of afterwards, and move the uvs of the mirrored part out of the normal 0-1 range (out of the square)
Well apparently the test for copyright infringement is whether an ordinary person would say that one work (or a portion of it) is copied from another work. The copy need not be an exact likeness. "Infringement requires copying substantial portions of a work, so a mere similarity in style or concept will not constitute an…
Excelent Concept A little thing I think you can merge some edges on your face to make cleaner mesh Is not necessary to make a lot polygone to have good Profile exemple I think you can make the same in the front. ;) Good luck for the rest :)
It would be awesome to have you come along Brad. Hopefully your back to 100% health soon. And yes, passports ftl. Although mine only took 2 weeks. I'm sure it might take a little longer to process in a country with 300million, as opposed to a mere 35million.
No, I didn't use any symmetry for the pillar UVs (I used symmetry for the top of the pillar, but UVs were unwrapped after merging the two sides). Having said that, I must confess I used the automatic projection tool of BodyPaint, maybe the seam come from it.
