How to create this torn pattern at the edge? For example I have a rectangle or a simple plane with simple color, but how to create this torn edge? Please help me... I beg you.
@JadeEyePanda I'm after something that looks cartoony, but looking a little bit realistic too. Is there any example on how i should tackle his face to look more 'cartoony' or something?

I think it could use some red accents around some of the areas to help separate areas that blend in too much. A good example would be bounty hunters shoulders in this image:
I just used working on films as an example because it's what I know. I never found it to be boring or tedious. Only physically exhausting, and annoying to have to deal with human beings.

This is the best i can get out of this image for example. Its on its own layer and i press the shape ---> normal button on Ndo's main menu and then adjust the settings i see.
