if gold didn't drop from mobs, but only came from selling "stuff" to the merchants within the game, the economy would be fine. but because there's essentially "free money", the economy will always just progress vertically to the point of retardedness.
pretty nice, that is a concept i had in my todo bin for a while but haven't even gotten to starting it yet. and yes it is Deus Ex HR related, tehre are 2 more Vertical slice concepts too that are similar.
I fanally got it to work by attaching another mesh to this one, breaking the vertices index and detaching it again. It seems UDK indeed keep older versions of the meshes you imported and messes up sometimes between versions.
i have 2 monitors...i love it. i have both of them set vertically as well. it's like reading a book. ha. plus, when working on characters....2d or 3d...it's easier to see the whole char.
Nice, thanks a little bit of context interaction is always appreciated coming from silo :) What I miss though is target weld with visual feedback (a line that join the two vertices) :/ I can't find that anywhere.
This is one of those instances you may actually consider just stretching your UV's to give a new texture. Resources are pretty limited on the iphone, maybe just stretch your small snow texture vertically for the ramp?
That looks like what happens when that edge in your uv's is not perfectly horizontal or vertical. Looks like your getting pixels that are at an angle there where it should be a straight line. What do your uv's look like?
that sir, is extremely bad ass! only thing is i think if you pushed the angle on the vertical part after the 2nd floor to lean more to the front it would help stylize it more and just look freaking sweet
Does that section have a different smoothing group than the rest? Is your UV layout seamless in that area? Are all the vertices in that area welded? Can you show the normal map for that area? Could be any or all of these things.
It means your UV's (and UV borders especially) should be horizontal or vertical, not at an angle, so as not to induce any visible artifacts (think of the difference between a straight line made of 10 pixels and an angled line made of 10 pixels..it will look like a stair).
