The walls and area around actual hot zones should be stone, further you get from the heat source, the more wood you can use, and i'd discourage a thatched roof for a forge. :)
The only problem which i see which is probably smoothing related could be the roof, the other 2 textures don´t match very well and you can clearly see that they are mirrored.
Yes, and not in the now standard way. The official roof or sewer grate or air vent with really obvious markers above each so that you can't miss them. Let me figure it out!
Worked on most of the crits ive received. Keep 'em coming! Still got to make the wheels bigger, might remove more tris on the roof area and more in the wheels. Currently 16,604 tris.
great that you resolved the normal map issues :) what I'd love to see on one of these is a sculpted canvas roof, but maybe another time! looking sweet so far, can't wait for more
Some of the textures - especially those on the roof & the white tower - have fairly obvious tiling issues. The brick/stucco texture looks rather forced at the moment. Fewer transitions might look better.
putting a few more lights in might help... anyways wouldn't a garage roof like that have more lights?.. should fit and hopefully bring out the look you want with alil tweaking
All of those at once :P Might I suggest making the "roof" of the scene dense clouds, as to support the next level of the tower? :) (And maybe even add a tornado coming down from it too?)
Cool to see how you started this :) Keep the mupdates coming! Scale seems to be pretty spot on, but try to think about the roof/ceiling/balconys (Whatever that top part is in the goal picture) as well :)
I find the gun chests a lot of time, but often they are hidden away, like on the roofs. Also there is some alternatives to them, like the backend of a car trunk, which has some nice stuff.
