Cool concept choice, and nice start! This thing that immediately stands out to me is that you are trying to make the face shape in a straight on view based on the concept where the head is tilted up. This is skewing the proportions of your chin and lower lip quite a bit. The chin/jaw should be a little longer and the lower…
Looking much brighter, nice. However for me it's lacking in composition, my eyes don't know quite where to go, and I land on the upper part of the doors where it's lit pretty flat and not very interestingly. I think it would help to study composition, how to lead the viewer's eyes around your piece, and thus get them…
Haven't posted here in forever, so here goes: I usually hang out in the Dota 2 section and my portfolio shows it. I'd like to expand on my skills and practice PBR workflows a bit and to learn Substance along the way. Which is why I chose this concept by Bjorn Hurri to tackle: Cons: - has a lot of different materials to…
oooo lightshafts. :D everything is looking good so far.. except the leaves on the floor seem a bit too.. lit. seems as tho they should be darker. and speaking of seams (different kind but hey thats ok) you've got some lightmap seams going on with your wall mesh there in the most recent shot.
it looks very flat. Perhaps your spec map needs some work. Also, the colors are a bit saturated. I don't see much normal detail either. If you are rendering with skylight and lighttracer, the normals wouldn't really show up. Can you do a lit scanline render or in engine shot?
Real nice job in your presentation, I don't know if I like how her face came out in the magazine, seems like it might not be lit flatteringly. The pattern on her pants is a bit distracting from the design, but sounds like you didn't have much control over that. Great model.
Hey all, FunkyBunnies tasked me a while ago to make a lazy mouse which he could use in photoshop. I promised on this forum to complete the lazy mouse when i returned from my vacation. With no further ado, i present FunkySmooth. Download Link: http://rajkard.se/FunkySmooth/FunkySmooth.rar It works like this: The first time…
Hi kanga thank you very much for your advice, this makes it a bit easier to understand now. I have also seen people creating UVs from polypaint and that might be also the case for me. If I don't need them at all that will probably make it a bit easier. Hopefully that will work with Mixamo and then Maya.
I have to say that I was kind of excited about this scene, but you lost me on the way. :/ You were off to a really good start by making the thatch roof more interesting, for example, but somehow you seem to have lost interest in properly detailing and texturing the closeup of the hut. The perspective is hard to read,…
Actually Vig, that's a pretty inefficient gaming machine for the money and a low quality mobo. And also, about ATI having horrible driver support, they fixed that about 1.5 generations ago. And even if you still disagree, so many people hack the catalyst drivers it shouldnt really matter anyways. If this is a gaming…
