We suck at making videos, games yes, but marketing vids... The plan is Friday to add a gameplay video, and to show the first two pages of the journal/comic. As for the images sizes, it auto sizes everything down to 700 wide. So well be adding more shots that are tall, not wide so better show the game. That don't get re… -

Truthfully, I enjoyed the 701 build up ... Brad had a whole series of videos there which was fun. 801 launch was a bit of a dead fish but you can't win them all. A great version, mind you, but the launch was definitely limp. Especially the hour long web cast event where basically ... nothing happened. -

First off, somebody made a vertex normal plugin for Modo 701, http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122073 Second, you can use a cage even for a box, I am not sure why you think you can't. Third, can you post your UVs, lowpoly, and highpoly. The artifacts could be any combination of those… -

Generally speaking, vertex count is more important in games than triangle count. So if you have a model with 5000 verts and 7000 tris, vs a model with 5000 verts and 5000 tris, the 7000 tris model is actually much more efficient. Triangles are not free, but saving triangles at the cost of verts and these sort of UV layouts… -
