Just got it modelled, it's currently about 350 tris. If anyone can spot anywhere to drop a few lines then feel free to point them out, there could well be loads but my mesh optimization skills are lacking usually. I talked to an art director whom I have much respect for (Ed at Threewave), and he gave me a bunch more pointers and feedback on the scene. First off I changed the fog from dark red or pale yellow, this really makes the scene a lot more alive I think. It's not drowning in and in blackness. Next I'm gonna add more detail… -

I'm running a Quadro FX 3500 here at work and I have photoshop and maya open all day and everything runs quite well. We're using this driver (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_162.65.html) and things run smooth. As a matter of fact a lot of times I'm running maya, max, and ps and it still runs well. -
