If they're in another country they're going to have problems suing you. Usually you have to be a resident of the country you want to be in court for. This is a source worth reading for some interesting tidbits (which are probably true): http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ Icefrog more or less demanded a direct port from DoTa to an extent that wouldn't get Valve sued. And they did it. Looks like they smelled the money and let him run DOTA 2 as he pleases. -
