Not really contrast, but using Cycles you can use different shaders for rays that go through that visor into the camera by using a Mix node and controlling the mix factor with a couple of outputs from a Light Path node. So every object that you want to light up when seen through the visor needs the stuff in the "Method"…
You can find it here under object data properties/ remesh, there are both voxel remesher and quad(riflow) remesher. The quad remesher addon is expensive, but works very well and worth it if you understand and know how to include it into your workflow.
thats a fair bit better thanks very much... one object is always selected which in my lazy max style way i keep translating without meaning too still. is this something you just have to learn not to do?
Thanks, I've seen this error as well but had difficulty reproducing it reliably, I'll investigate more tonight. For now, what I think should work is making sure you have on of your objects selected when you press bake.
@pior I think I tried this recently. Just use Textools, create the uv mesh. Then select the uvmesh and the original mesh. Go to Object-Make Links- Transfer uvmaps. Assign the original mesh material to the uvmesh. Should work fine.
@pior I just prepared a file and realised why the modifier wasn't doing anything: It needs Auto smooth checked under Object Data -> Normals. 2.80 no longer displays a warning message if that property is unchecked, it just sits there, not doing anything.
Ctrl+Shift +/- If you watched my vid on selections you would know this. :D :D For origin to bottom I just use Maxivz Quick Pivot. Also, Qblocker allows you to create objects with the origin at the bottom, the same as Max.
@ironbearxl nope, at the moment there is no way, and I don't like it either. after importing an object you can enter in edit mode e in the uv window there is this option to mask seams based on the current uv layout. Could it be automated? would be nice.
Helo hola, can anyone explain to me a simple and efficient way to duplicate objects along a path/curve? Like for exmaple, to make a chain. Also,a way to extrude a geo or edges along a curve? Those were pretty simple in Maya.
hi guys, yesterday I made this short tutorial to explain how to align 2 objects in blender using snap tools and the amazing cursour. hopw you like! ENG SUBS! [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9BTPRxXlf0[/ame]
