Yes it does have wireframe mode, And also there is an area viewer too, two actually. The old modelviewer can export models in Metasequoia format. Which can be easily imported into max :D Click here for all your ffxi dat hacking needs. Also if someone would make a darth vader mod for this game id put a up a shrine in their…
He's pretty tall and has very wide shoulders if he's only a teenager. The shoulders are probably a bit on the wide side, no matter how old he is. He's also got some rather skinny legs and undersized feet. Apart from a few proportional tweaks, he's looking pretty good thus far. Are you going to model up Goliath too?
Damn I miss the good 'ol days with all the old time Polycounters.. Im planning a trip to Argentina in Sept, so that will be the majority of my vacation time in the fall.. To bad too.. I have an open invite to go to id software for a free tour and some id swag.. Hmm besides, I cant go anywhere with out the missus…
Fonzie FTW! so lemme see if i get this, Simon Cowell knows what 14yr old girls want and he gives it to them, and people think buying lots of Rage will change that? as depressing as it is, the tweens drive the market in music (and film: new moon anyone?) and if the girls like something the boys will too; and girls wont be…
I can imagine that the archaic tool chain of ArmA makes a lot of designers not to apply for work at Bohemia Interactive too. Such a shame really. I'm hoping that Visitor at least has been updated. Never used the old one but it seems awful. But I still hope to make a 16 km * 16 km terrain/map of the area around my childhood…
Yeah i'm liking this, but does feel too straight and like it was just made. How about getting some weathering and a sense of being old and rustic in there? Some dirt and maybe add a bit of a floor in front of the door. Here you could add some grass and mud, etc. Good work though. With more work, this can look really nice.
Here's one more method just for posterity. :) I did this in ZB with Zmodeler. It's from an old thread here: 'The Perna 90-second challenge' Here's the thread. You might get some ideas here too. http://polycount.com/discussion/171343/3ds-max-modeling-a-low-poly-flash-hider#latest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig2WROzB_ho
rarr, what a coincidence, i just made this neat flowchart! its dry, but i did my best trying to be moderately amusing: i remember back in the good old days, when me and my buddies used to swap games. each game usually passed an average of between 4-5 people minimum. should that count for lost sales too?
Look as far as I'm concerned game are too rushed these days. Ai, interaction, etc haven't kept up with the graphics department and have actually been dumbed down a lot. I could do more in some old PC games than I could with todays crop of quicky, simultaneously developed multi-platform hackjobs. Just my uninformed opinion.
Okt, cheers for posting the links. That stuff is lovely, really really nice. I can spot a couple of classic Kev designs in there, like the 'knee' section of the Torlan Support. So, how relevant is this old post detailing parts of your workflow? : SciFi Support Beam Can't wait to see the main site, you good a cool domain…
