Warhammer Online died a while ago, but I had some great times in that game. The use of player physics to block other players was actually fantastic in that game. Get a bunch of tanks to literally block off an area and the other team could could not physically pass w/out killing them. RIP :(
Could use some help with this. I'm trying to render with Marmo, but I have these weird black spots that show up everywhere. Here's the issue and my mat setup. There is a single pointlight in the scene. I would be particularly interested in hearing from EQ or Perna or whoever else is involved w/ 8Monkey. Thanks!
-Edit profile curve with realtime preview -Combine with diffuse bump/emboss for added detail w/slider & preview -Save/load modifier stack -Preview as tessellation/normal map/parallax map with or without diffuse/spec -Batch I'd ask for automatic generation of ao and spec but that is getting a little out of scope.
Here's a thread about upgrading your CPU: http://en.community.dell.com/support....aspx#19970142 Your system has a 300W power supply, so you need a GPU that doesn't draw much power. Here's a thread about that: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/33...w-power-supply (apologies for duplicate post)
as a kind of side note: I've found that using the Black & White filter in photoshop gives different results from simply sliding the hue/saturation slider down to gray. I was told B&W filter was more accurate to see the values but I don't exactly know the math behind the different functions.
Also, to my knowledge when I got my PC w/ windows 7 home, 3ds Max won't even run on it. Don't know what your 3d app. is so maybe this isn't a concern. Anyhow, home versions kind of blow for anything other than just everyday computing.
There's a few animal anatomy books out there. I've got An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists by W. Ellenberger which is pretty decent for mammals, though no other animal types. I suspect it might not be that easy to find these days, but an image search for "animal anatomy" on Google will pull up a bunch of pages from it…
imho - you've chosen a bad photo to work with - it has a very bad b/w balance and colours are all weird and horrible. + Thats not a very productive way to do a painting - first do a base then the highlights and shade, that will make your life much easier and you will get better results. Good luck
The rubber of the tires still kinda bug me... they look ballooned out more like an inner tube than a tire... and i don't think i've ever seen tread on a tire that works like that w/ just horizontal lines. I'm thinking just a little texture change will go a long way on that.
Your URL is a turn-off. You can pull off something like poop in your mouth once you have a few gigs under your belt. I realize changing your URL is a pain, but its just my 2 cents. Best of luck w/ the apps man! -Tyler
