Re: 3D Modeling with One Hand
Every double clicking issue i've had with a mouse has been software/driver related. 5+ times my deathadder has started doubleclicking at seemingly random times and reinstalling the drivers always sorted it. Same happened with my previous generic brand laser mouse fixed with driver updates. -

Looks good but I think its missing some AO definition (where is your AO map?). Maybe ramp up the ambient occlusion to make the details pop more? Also it would be awesome if you put it in space (not so noisy) with maybe a laser beam shooting out of its weapons? -

Im in the market for one as well, I got one of those cheapie IKEA desks and the paint is coming off the top where my mouse sits all the time so I'm needing to get a nice new one. Used to use a plastic cutting board worked well but not for the laser mice.. -

The music in that video is performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I saw them in concert Monday, and it was the best rock show I have ever seen. Lights, explosions, lasers, snow, kick ass guitar solos...so awesome. How this person rigged their lights to do this, no clue. But they're definately a fan. -

hey steakhouse, the scratchs and stuff are supposed to show the damages caused during battles, such as lasers weapons, bullet ricochets, dirt, etc... As for the "extra polies" you're right, i could actually add one or two edges on the sheels here and there too. Thanks for the comments. Thx guys for your interest chico -

Well, I'm done for the day and figured I'd upload the progress I've made on the base coat. Need to get some contrast to make some of the edges seem more 3D and if anyone has a convincing technique of making the purple laser part seem as if its covered in glass, that would be muuuch appreciated. -

This game is excellent! It makes me think of lasers and mirrors, but with more interaction. This is honestly the only trajectory+power game I've enjoyed (besides worms of course). It's not too difficult, but that doesn't bother me, because it's quite fun trying out different things to hit stuff. Also the last level owned -
Re: do you soften or harden beveled edges on hard surfaces?
Perhaps it's just Blender behavior. When you select an object and do mirror X I suspect it just scales it negatively. Showing and rendering it just fine with correct normals within Blender. But when you export the mesh its normals are getting inverted. So I use mirror modifier and two vertex group with _L and _R suffixes…
