Generating game geometry with simple photographs

Created a tiling brick texture using a proxy texture from Substance Share and world aligned texture nodes in the material (with the help of google). Exported the scene to do some quick versions look dev versions inside of Modo and suddenly realising that it's looking a bit too similar to another portfolio piece of mine.… -

That's not a bad solution, but I'd like to be able to have the tiles evenly spaced horizontally (like a brick pattern). As far as I can tell, you can't set up the gradient, evenly spaced horizontal positioning and random vertical positioning using just the tile generator. ive always found it harder to pull off something like stone or brick when using landscape (or terrain before). if you were to build your floor as if it were actually ontop of the landscape, not the landscape itself, you may be able to get some better results out of it. you would be able to tessellate however much you… -

Quick update Still need to work on the brick texture, a lot of props to add, give it a more scifi look and keep tweaking the lighting to find the right mood.
