Oooooh pretty rain. However I think the drops running off of the roof could use a bit more alpha. From the distance you're showing it looks very white.
I prefer howl's moving castle. can't really comment much yet as not much is done. though the window texture I hope isn't that big in comparision to the roof texture.
Yeah, I actually think you overdid it with the cavity map a bit (for the highlights on the stone and those roof trims), a lot of that info should probably be in the specular map instead maybe?
[ QUOTE ] lol that's the washington monument... [/ QUOTE ] Hah! so it is. It's so torn up I didn't notice that till you mentioned it. I was reading it visually as a skyscraper with a pointed roof.
Everything at this point is combined to one mesh, but I can't remember if I instanced the planks and the roofing when I was laying them out, maybe instancing them would help?
Those rifle paintings are really quite lovely. Reminds me of the old car adverts, "we lowered the roof and raised your outlook". The contrast in the rendering of the materials is nice too.
Yeah, I noticed too that the highpoly was unnecessary in this case. What do you mean with unique unwrap? Like unwrapping every part (like roof, doors and so on) itself?
Little bit of an update, not sure how to do the lighting, might no worry about the roof and do a diorama top down shot, gonna give substance designer a bash for the floor
Looks like you might have some texture stretching on top of the canvas roof... unless this was intentional? If so, I don't think it helps to describe your material properly.
Also, the inside lip of the roof should probably have the wood texture... Might help to looks at real life while doing this if you are not already. can't wait to see more!
