Isolation/Knightly/Space stuff... His Majesty's Starship ("The Ark" in the US) by Ben Jeapes - Really aimed at "teens" but it's got some cool ideas on space tech, combat and aliens. I guess it kind of deals with isolation and knightly behavour a bit, too. Excession by Iain M Banks - Some very cool space related stuff.…
It also says Unreal Engine for Unreal Development Kit which is not what UDK actually says when you open it. Anyway Im positive you need UE3. :) Not sure about dynamic light vs baked? According the interwebz characters are lit dynamically, so not sure.
I don't think it would be very safe to put a lit lantern on top of an oil canister. Probably an OSHA violation :P I like your foliage look though! The vines are a bit too regular/even for my taste, maybe mess 'em up a little?
Nice work! I personally felt that the sunlight might be a little too harsh, especially since it seems to be a bit cloudy and dark outside. Its also kind of hard to see any light bounce because everything just seems evenly lit. Hope that makes sense! :)
So, generally the point of calibration is to match the result that you would get while printing, at the very least, that is what hardware calibrators are tuned for. I don't think you can really look at your monitor and tell if its calibrated properly or not. That said, higher end panels tend to require calibration less, or…
Wow, how come no one commented on this? This is looking sweet! :D I'm not especially in any position to give critiques, haha, but I think maybe the lower ab/hip area seems a bit iffy. It seems like the abs and obliques aren't really making the shape I'm used to seeing, the V shaped muscles down to the crotch. But then…
After looking at it for a while, I came to realize that the mouth is off and not the normal collagen filled lips everyone is used to seeing on hot chicks. Also the render or the texture are adding a lot of gray to the face, it happens quite a bit with normal mapped models as the engine/render is being told to cast ever so…
The North Kingdom - Light updated a Little. Have to add more light to lit the main arch as of now it look a bit dark. Worked on the silhouette of the center arch. Going to work on the structure on the top of the arch and pillars. Planning to finish those by the weekend. C&Fs are most welcome. enjoy!!
Fix the actual lights. Increase the brightness a bit, but also (possibly even more importantly) increase the radii of the light spheres. Right now you have so many light-dark-light-dark going on in a small area, it's almost like checkerboarding. Solidify some large lit areas.
I would darken the color of the fog a bit because it looks like its being lit by something when in fact its a low light scenario. Maybe add some depth fade to the water in order to remove that sharp transition. Other than that, its looking pretty good.
