Since the Color Settings dialogue window was shown further up I think this might be worth mentioning. Definately something I would change on any computer intended to be used to create graphics for computer games. This is regarding sGray and working with the alpha channel in Photoshop. http://retrofist.com/sgray/
Could use a getAttri / setAttri mel script which gathers all the attributes for loc and rot from the left side of the rig and applies them to the right side, would require writing bone names into a script, but if you intend on doing alot of mirroring it would save a lot of time.
Are you saying scrap the entire model and redo the modeling as well? Or just the textures? Because the model I have looks exactly like the model in your reference, and I've used ~25 reference images. I was pretty confident in the accuracy of the gun I had (pun sort of intended).
Quite happy with how this Underground/Tunnel Light BP turned out: (even if I couldn't get the glass looking consistent in all the breakdown shots... at least it works as intended in-game) Found some ref for roughly the look this kind of fixture should have from the Glass trailer:
I didn't intend for it to be so clickbaity.. The web is rubbing off on me :S I've attempted to contact them, through their public emails, but no responses yet. (One email is down) They had said last year, that they were working on xN 4.0, and they sounded very excited about it all.
It's a plane, so i wasn't planning to UV anything other than a simple planar. I intend to subdivide at least in 3 levels, to create LOD's. Do you think it's a better workflow to make a huge subdivision, displace and then use Meshlab or something else to reduce the polycount for the LOD's?
Thanks! Yeah, I intend on making lots of these. I see stuff online where people sculpt a great looking face in a few minutes without too many hiccups and it just blows my mind. I'll do lots of type one as you said. This is super helpful!
yup - its a mandrill all right (well, mostly - theres a bit of artistic license!) just got on my home pc and realised the colours on my laptop are a bit out of whack - its a lot more, er, "vibrant" than i intended. I'll sort it out though!
Hi, Ty for your remarks. I have recently started working in game development so most of the work here was intended for high res high detail 3D renders. In next update i will put wires and some more game art content i am working on. :)
I don't know what these guys are talking about, Nick Cage is AWESOME. Also, is this sculpt for still rendering use, or is it intended to be posed and animated? if its going to be still rendered, might as well go classic Nick-Cage 'Bat Shit Crazy' and show some emotion and style.
