If by "established 2D and 3D artist" you mean a fresh game school graduate waiting tirelessly for the main door of the game industry to open so he can stick his foot in, then I'm your man! I think the zombie viking looks great. Took it into photoshop and filled the bg with gray and the silhouette looks good too. The…
The Vikings had an ugly female underworld goddess called Hel, who was half dead and half alive (split down the middle). Maybe you could take something from that. It'd also be worth reading a bunch of Greek mythology to see if theres any aspects of Hades that you could carry over into your design. For instance, he was given…
I have to agree with the aforementioned feedback. Looks like the same material like a rain coat. It looks very sci-fi so the Mirror's Edge vibe is definitely true. It looks like it's made of plastic or a soft rubber of some kind that I would expect people in movies/games set 100 years in the future to wear. The way the…

Cool modeling! The detail looks like it has been applied uniformly over the whole weapon. There used to be great vids on youtube about applying detail to assets. The intensity and the frequency should be varied and add fidelity and interest and spaces where the eye can rest. Atm the detail is acting a bit like camouflage.
Its totally needed, going to the gym and exercising keeps me energized and really is one of the only things that clears out (mental fog) and has a great reset switch effect on my brain. I road bike in the warmer months 5 to 7 days a week about 17 miles a night after work. In the winter I weight train much heavier…
Hi sketchbook, first update! The current project I'm working on is a multi-asset scene with a few tools, a character, a building and a few environmental assets. I have taken my inspiration from Zelda: Windwaker with a viking/medieval scandinavian twist to it. I do this project to practice hand painted textures and to some…

Thanks for the feedback! I took your feedback on the skull and added some techy stuff around it. Just a tiny update today, but I'm beginning to like where this is going. Also, I've decided to go into a traditional Norse direction with all the decorations. It meant not be true to to the 40k universe, but hell Space Wolves…
Had some time to finally block out the body a little bit for my excalibur model. He's looking pretty bland as seen by the silhouette so I'm hoping to tweak that a bit before a jump into getting all the detail into the armor bits. Feeling pretty slow so far so hopefully I can get off this turtle oil I'm running on and get…
