Damn it, if only you'd showed this off a couple weeks ago. I had a model I could've used this on more than anything. EDIT: Whoooooa. This is great, but I don't think it's 20 great. Guess I'll stick with snapping to shapes.
Always run fraps videos through windows movie maker (at the very least). It has some crappy codecs and stuff too, if you ever notice garbled sound from fraps, re-rendering it helps, and drops the filesizes by 20 fold. ;)
It'd be cool to see it gradually getting more opaque from the epicenters. The Day After Tomorrow has a good example, it's a terrible movie, but there's a part around 20 seconds in that has the frost at that opaqueness I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/E87raPj9m0A
Not sure how many times they've actually used it, but Hardy did have a digital double. Probably just a handful of shots - one interview says that all the DD work was for something 20+ shots altogether and that included the toxic storm scene.

its all nice. but what happend to the colours - its very grayish. just try a vibrance adjustment layer in ps with like +20 each - sure it doesnt have to look super poppy, but a little color is nice too you know :)
Hey I'm just trying to push the kid to greatness, he doesn't want to be sitting here at 11:20 at night trying to break into the industry when he's in his mid 30's like me. :poly105::poly115::shifty::D!
Look into the XPS workstation you can get one for about 1000 to 1300 and I think that includes a 17" to 20" monitor as well. Also check out the dell outlet sometimes you can find kick ass deals on PC's there.
Christiano Ronaldo just isn't one of the best players in the world. Sure he can frighten the opposition but if the game requires him to take it by the scruff of the neck... he ain't gonna do that. He'll just dance around the ball for 20 minutes.
Try breaking up his panels with some slight color variation. Here I've multipled a dark blue in 10%, 20%, and 30% patches over the paneling to keep it the same basic color scheme but help pop the shapes a little better.
