Think of it like you would a person or a car. Even if it is a fictional design, or the character has pink hair and big muscles - it still needs to be based off of reality to read naturally to an audience. Trying to stylize something you don't understand the basis of is always hard.
Well, the reason that my albedo has shades of colors and metal have gray tones, is because I was looking for an unrealistic style, but a stylized point. Now as you say in the pbr it would not be entirely valid, but I understand that it is a trick that I know for some artists.
It looks so much better now that one bang of hair is away from her mouth. I believe sometimes it's okay to cheat the concept design a little bit just for aesthetic choices. This stylized model really came out good. Well done!
I thought mine looked pretty cool, like some kind of stylization was done to it. This is an error then? I'm fine with it haha. Edit: After washing it, the colors have begun disappearing from the shirt. It's kinda... not so good now. Contacting them for a return/refund.
@Mateus I love th tirande bust! The only thing I don't like is the nose, I know it's even more stylized than in the original game, but maybe it's a bit too small now? Loving what youre doing here, keep it up!
Definitely has a Crysis 2 ( perhaps new advancement of the PBR version of Darksiders 2? ) vibe that is as cool as the stylized excess of the originals. Are the original Vigil team ( Like Gunfire/Crytek usa's David Adams influence perhaps explaining the Cryengine look? ) involved in part?
thanks for the feedback nick do not want the poop look so ill fix it soon, thanks for all tips the zodd very helpful i was trying to stylize the concept maybe too much though ill try to work out the mismatch and raise the appeal
@@Magihat Whoaa, wait a min. Doesn't that make her look... fat ??? The jawline thing. I mean, I'm not gonna take it at face value (gonna do more research on my own too), but how much is good for stylized anime-ish character.
Welcome @pato87 !! @RogerP The stylized proportions look good for me and I really like the organic touch on the boots. Not a big fan of the emissive leds on the thighs but is looking cool overall. Are you going to add some gloves? He needs something there right now :)
If you're wanting to stick to the concept and go for a more pixar/disney style look, don't bother putting that many wrinkles on his leather jerkin. I think the way you had it in your first sculpt looked better, the folds were thick and stylized.
