Your flames are giving off light that is far too red for me, seems it should be more of an orange tone, I coudln't figure out why there was red light on the planks up top but then i realized that is your torch lighting. I can't tell what is up in the big glowing area, like what is creating that light? Is it supposed to be…
Yeah, I imagine that machine spec you posted would be more than adequate. My PC is slightly lower spec than what you say there (not a Mac though, and I don't know how OSX or whatever measures up against Win7 in terms of resource management, I assume they're fairly similar) but it runs Maya, Photoshop and ZBrush together…
Hey there, another small update of what I did in my free time, which hasn't been much. I did some extra detail work on the rock textures, mainly in the damage and dirt/weathering pass, following some really cool feedback from some of my ex-colleagues, really great guys! :D Besides that I was also able to put some work on…
well guys let's all jump off the Dejawolf hating bandwagon for a second, he is offering him a way out of a sort. Now tbh we all know that there are loads of artist's out of work I'm sure who would jump at the chance that Deja is presenting Art-Machine here. From what Deja said in his post, he is offering temp freelance…
Even if you haven't used MM's low poly, you've still retopo'd over his high poly and baked that down. The fact of the matter is this model is meant to be a showcase of your skills in creating a character, not your skills in retopoing MM's. The reason your getting this 'onslaught of anger' is down to one thing, your…
i'll take that bet! While i see it channeling the ever impressive elephant gun I'll bet it's some sort of ground vehicle - land speeder type thing. Guess that silhouette! "It's a jumbly mess" is an accurate crit, if not a terribly detailed or specific one. I don't think it was meant to be insulting or demeaning in any way.…
Welcome to polycount, First let me say Ive always wanted to do a model based on that flaming lips song. I must say your version of Yoshimi isn't that far off from what I imagined her to look like. Someone else did a yoshimi over at the eatpoo forums though it was much more cartoony. This is really cool. I hope you are not…
Thanks guys, I did it by eye just frame-by-frame for the duration of the pose. Using IK as Denny said, not sure I could get better results using FK. I ended up using it twice in the same shot (dude climbing a ledge using his knee and elbow), worked a treat. I've yet to see rigs with Locks, clearly I've been blind to them.…
what they both said! Just bought the tool and still having problems figuring out how to optimally use it. The beveling you're doing in the videos is not the sort of results i'm getting when trying it myself and the speeded up video isn't very clear and impossible to frame by frame to see what you're actually doing. Could…
This may be a bug with refraction + metalness. Please send a description of the problem plus your scene and textures to support@marmoset.co and we will have a look at it. The easiest way to do this is to go to File -> Export -> Scene Bundle, and zip up the .tbscene and /assets/ folder. For now, try using two materials, one…
