Fantastic texturing work, as always! My only crit really is that he needs the guns from the concept. Especially in that last 'Excalibur' pose, he would look a lot more 'Brutus' with those two massive guns than what is comparitively a pretty weedy looking sword. It seems like the sword would be his backup weapon, whereas…
@cmykristy oh thank you for feedback! I haven't changed the weapons yet but you're absolutely right! Well, I added some color and I'm quite happy with the result. The only thing that bothers me are the weapons, i guess, I should make them look a little bit worn out but after that I'll try to pose this character in Zbrush.…
Holy sh*t the contributions in this thread :O I threw these on the interwebs some time ago, but I may as well post them here for anyone who wants them (comes with textures, obj, marmoset scene)! I've also thrown in a weapon I worked on with Wwwooottt in the pack as well (M1911). M1911 (32mb) Tar-21 (57mb) AKS74-u (37mb)…
Thanks! The only thing I'm thinking now... looking at him this morning, is I may try playing around with the scale of a couple of the weapons in the center by the big bag.... There all kinda samesy, same size, shape....silhouette... and its a little noisy. I might try and fix that up before moving on. Maybe a couple more…
For the bone, the way I did it(sucessfully) was to copy the armature of an already existing armature for the character and delete everything you don't need (model and extra bones). You would need the weapon and root bone. Then you connect to weapon bone to your mesh. The way I exported it (I used blender) I had X-axis…
I recommend modeling after the water gun. You'll have a clearer visual target to understand what a proper game asset is to look like. Unless you're willing to go in and do the concept redesign work, right now it's reading an uninteresting, lacking a specific purpose for its use, kind of like a weapon but not really, and…
Some sketches of weapons for a BH item set im designing. criticism and advice is very welcome because although i like these weapons each one of them seems to be lacking something, though that could just be because Ive drawn them badly. P.S the shruken is drawn badly ,mybad, take the bottom blade of the shruken as refrence…
@Talistar : Okay thanks man! I need to work on my weapon mechanic skills i think :D here it is: but this dont make any sense for this actual weapon.... lol xD lets see what i can do there, give you an update than. @Shyralon Good Job as well, i like your proportions and also your high and lowpoly modeling skills. But i…
Thanks for the reply. I have actually been seeing a large amount of lighting artist positions recently which is why I might try my hand at getting more comfortable with the post-processing effects and various other things about lighting in UE4. I would love to become a weapons artist but as of right now I need a job more…
My brother and I got really good at that game, that guy was tough, but we could take him out without too much of a problem. Helps having a second player than just doing it solo. For RPGs, I remember the Atma Weapon in Final Fantasy 6 was pretty tough, and in the same FF vein, the Emerald Weapon in FF7 is a bitch. The last…
