No, if you try that it'll just end up blobby and soft looking. You have to define the curves with topology, the turbosmooth is just there to smooth it out. -

Definately some cleanup on the anims, but it looks good and I'm intrigued enough to want to see more, so I'd say you're on the right track :) -

cool design yah...but you can definately have 4 000 tris without losing too much detail mebbe even 3500
