I started this anatomy study not too long ago. I reworked the proportions of an old head study and used it to help measure proportion. I've got quite a way to go still because I want to sculpt him in complete detail, but I'm going to finish him up soon and return to the big bug dude and his prey. -

Mine's an ancient cloth-on-rubber Amazon.com promotional one with a Groucho Marx quote on it ("Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."). I tried to go loose with this one without being indecipherable. I figure each brick would be separated by a season or generation of technology as Liandri combatants never get too old. I just found this old thread on cgsociety: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=559283 They seem to think on there it is a problem with Mental Ray and shared UV space rather than a problem with Maya. So if you are getting the problem with Max too that could be the case. It would be interesting for you to bring her… -

To be fair a lot of those campuses look a lot nicer than anywhere I've ever lived (childhood home excepted). --There was a mad, drunken rant here. I'll let you imagine it - you'll probably come up with something far more amusing than I did. Now it's gone. The moral of the story was "I'm getting too old for this shit" -

I've added a bit of fat to her cheeks because she looked wrong from some angles, too old. Also she's now rigged. I've tried a completely different approach this time, letting Blender try to autorig it and cleaning it up with the weight paint. Some areas had to be completely rerigged because the autorig is pretty stupid. -

PolyBoost has those tiny animated gif to remind what each tool do, but you hardly get the behaviour of every key combination (they're a lot in PB) and functions. I'd like something more placid and informative, like old IC.Shape videos or current IC.Tools. I'm afraid such gifs would start to grow a little too much. -

seeing this makes me want to do some high poly vehicles too. great inspiration. It would be cool to see this composited into some really strange locations, like in the middle of a supermarket parking lot next to some regular sized cars. You could have some 6 yr old staring up at it curiously. well done. dabu
