I've been working away at this in my spare time over the last couple weeks. Just wrapped it up last night and want to leave it here in my sketchbook. Based off a Creature Box concept.
Hello, back onto cat dog hamster creature and have geared him alot more to being a pug after some good suggestions. here is work so far. C&C always welcome.
I coulda sworn i saw this guy make a cameo at the end where the shot pulls back revealing a ton of creatures... Nerded out, pointed to the screen and shouted "Boomer!" Fun little horror movie.
I don't really get the sense that he is a hedgehog as much as just a horned creature. Perhaps try posing him in a more dynamic stance with sword and shield in hand, and add more quills to his back?
Nice stuff man, though I am kinda missing some reds on the creature. Some fake SSS, or just painting a bit of reds in the crevices would probably make it look a bit more organic.
Why don't they take the atmostphere and gravity of our planet into consideration? Would be very hard for the alien creatures to adapt to it. But then again if they have the technology to travel across the universe I think they can overcome that problem easily.
It'd be awesome to see that creature with its own sword ;) Over his shoulder, similar to Gut's sword from the anime Berserk. Idk I'm weird haha. I love the environment you've created though!
I'm hoping JFletcher takes it, he actually made me interested in a mech creature. Tons of detail, technically amazing and really pulled together with a neat texturing / rendering style. If not him, Boofis sure is cool :)
I'll watch them, and probably enjoy them. I don't look for great acting and compelling stories in star wars movies. Just kick ass Jedi crap, and interesting futuristic concepts and creature designs.
If you have screenies of the actual rifle, put em up. Might give people better ideas. :) Nice model though, can't wait to play the mod. Hopefully they'll pull off the translucency of the creatures.
