Ah, I love this stuff! I've actually been working on a re-light of that victorian scene myself, so this is inspiring! I really like the colors in the Sci-Fi bunk. It has great atmosphere, like the Deus Ex Corridor. Awesome stuff.
Holy cow. Your work is fantastic. I am so envious. The Jules Verne/HG Wells steampunk poster is something I would hang on my wall(and is sorta similar to a victorian sci-fi idea I've been bouncing around)
well be my guest then, how about this victorian house: if you want to keep it simple,- dont go to much into detail here,- the roof front e.g could be simplified or somewhat changed. You even have some blueprints on the bottom,- happy modeling
Hey Paul, how's i going :) I'd say this... How is the place being powered? I think you could make a high steam punk or sci fi generator for your scene to balance out the lack of tech with all of that Victorian feel of the observatory.
Little WIP on the victorian London Environment that I am doing for my main project right now. Nothing fancy yet, just playing with mood and getting into substance :) Still lot of work ahead, but early feedback is welcome
I will admit that the title of this thread made me worried that this would be another generic "Victorian guy with goggles = steampunk" type of thing, and I was very pleasantly surprised when I scrolled down and saw the gears. Nicely done!
I think for the actually characters Victorian might be more apropriate than steampunk, also: http://guides.gamepressure.com/dishonored/gfx/word/-1785023765.jpg http://guides.gamepressure.com/dishonored/gfx/word/189562968.jpg there's more if you look.
Here's a sample of my 2D work (You can find more in my portfolio) : Personal work (DollyGirl) Personal work (Male face practice/ Victorian RPG) Overwatch Fanart Playable characters for Hungry Shark World (iOS)
Here is a crude paint over, creating a concept is extremely challenging for me, I guess I'm just not very creative. I'm going for some kind of victorian swashbuckler, but I don't really like how all the plates float and don't really seem to fit together.
A scene with hand painted textures I did a year ago. Creepy victorian house on an island (sorry for the overkill of fog etc, first time i worked with UDK and made a hand painted scene. I really went nuts :s )
