Sounds like it killed the licensing service. If you go Start > Run > msconfig > Services Tab, make sure "autodesk Licensing Service" is set to start up. If that's not the case you might have to reinstall it =/ -

I've never had a service pack cause problems with any plugins. If it does the service pack is easy to uninstall from Window's Control Panel "View Installed Updates". I strongly recommend installing the service pack.
