Created this for sculpting practice but mostly for the purpose of having a fairly generic female to build other characters from. I still need to rebuild the topology, and that version won't be as defined as this one, but will keep most of the basic shapes. I mostly was striving for an ideal female that wasn't too extreme…
Well this years sales were poor imho, alot of repeated games and no good sales on the older games. Picked up some older titles like the Quake and Hexen collections along with Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior. Probably the best deal I got was the 75% off Platinum Points for Warframe. Need to play this a lot more now, great…
as a whole, I've seen more hate than love for Cliff - maybe it's all the nerds who are upset that "bro's" exist in the game industry. I work with a guy who's biceps are practically as big as my thighs, just accept that it's not the hunch backed nerd paradise you've dreamed of in the game industry. err, Jazz is nothing like…
perhaps modern games are over managed ie too many execs/producers/art managers etc Because older games relied on the creativity of a few key people, they had more of a vibe going , but games now are like bad b movies though there are exceptions. All I know is that even now when I play duke nukem or quake I still find it an…
fully agree about story comments, im tired of nonesense shooters with little to no story. A guy shooting people can only be fun for a little while, at least after playing so many of them... they should probably add more strippers like duke nukem did XD another point too, communicating more directly inside a studio might…
Malcom: The trend in the GTA series is the number changes when the engine gets a major update. GTA 1 had the 3 american cities we've now seen in 3d. Then there was a mission pack that was GTA london GTA 2 had an updated 2d engine, but no expansions. GTA 3 (gta 3d!.. like duke nukem anyone?) the last 5 games. now we have…
One thing loads of game have but I have never figured out how to put into 3DSMax are sprites, like flat planes that are always oriented towards the viewing angle. Short of using a look-at constraint at a camera, does anyone know how to achieve this effect in 3DS Max? And I'm not even sure they're called Sprites anymore,…
I'm 29 and I've been in the industry for six years now. As a kid, I first cut my teeth on Shoot-em-up Construction Kit and AMOS on the Amiga and also made some maps for Duke Nukem 3d. I didn't really do any art at all between the ages of 15 and 22. Kind of wish I hadn't wasted so much time. Oh well - I ain't dead yet.
Have you tried to save it with nuke. We did all our conversions from exr to png in nuke cause PS messed it up. Adobe has still no clue how exr files work.
