sadly i didn't get to finish, i ran out of free time so this is a far as i got. I decided to go for a post apocalyptic look. supposed to be a flickering light but the gif made it look a little weird
I spent too much time trying to get a nice flickering candle flame, I decided to put off any fancy FX until the end. First pass on the candles, finished cauldron and started on the sculpt for the table.
don't get cs4 it has serious display and performance issues. At work with a dual screen its constantly flickering making it almost impossible to use the layer panel + the 3d and general performance is a nightmare. Get CS2 if you can
Thank you so much, after intense Flipping out on the rotate/move tools I have yet to notice any flickering! So far it works wonderful, If the problems reappear I'll post here again <3
My outlines are looking weird, flickering or appearing in places where they shouldn't be. There are two options to fix this: Option 1 Set the Antialiasing Method to MSAA or FXAA. This is a quick fix, but will result in aliasing / jagged lines. To then counter the aliasing, you can take screenshots at higher resolutions.…
This is looking real good. My only gripe would be the flicker of the sun kinda killin me a few times. Maybe a little too dramatic for me. But, with that said the scene is nicely done all the way around.
And as a response to the above post, here's a quick little video of the lights flickering. Mockup to make it look like the start screen of a horror game, [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25UhiLXpRfc"]Otherside Start Screen Mockup - YouTube[/ame]
Holy crap, easter egg alert! in the flicker at the start, where it shows the blizzard logo, is a picture of a bunch of the devs that make the cinematics! Follow an artist on deviantart, and one of his comments was to pause at 0:08 to see some devs. haha
hey, your background realy flickers on my monitor when scrolling. i think its about that hatching-pattern and my screens response time. to me that effect was quite distracting. other than that, great portfolio!
