eVGA is an awesome brand. I own the 5200 FX and its fine. Of course why in gods good name would you want to even attempt doom3 on a 950 athlon anyway. Get the 5200. -

Pretty interested in this. The baking and UV improvements they've made over the past couple of versions have been absolutely killer, so if they can push those features even further I'll definitely upgrade. Hell, I bought 901 for the improvements to the UV tools alone, and the time saved paid for the cost of the upgrade. -

Yea actually they're officially considered the second generation mainstream "i" series, as denoted by the 2 at the beginning of their serial number. So something like this: old mainstream i7 = "870" (LGA1156) old enthusiast i7 = "950" (LGA1366) new mainstream i7 = "2600" (LGA1155) new enthusiast i7 = "2???" (LGA2011) -

intel core2quad are old hw, next week there will be new corei5 that will put eol those old cpu's. go either amd (945/955/965 phenom II x4) or just wait for corei5, one of those for a good performance/value ratio, else go for intel i7 if money aint a problem. -

notman: most laptops do not have a video card daughterboard. He says he has the 945GM chipset, which means he most likely has a GMA900 or 950 integrated card. These are integrated in to the mobo, and cannot be upgraded. Many manufacturers that do have daughterboards will solder them in so that they cannot be upgraded. -

Re: Biker Girl
Finally UVed the Motorcycle and got it into Substance Painter for texturing. I plan on doing this to the girl since I also did the UVs for her. I was able to reduce the tri count slighty now with 192, 351.
